Steelcase is the world's leading office furniture manufacturer, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We've worked with Steelcase on two occasions, most recently to produce an internal video intended to build buzz within the company's sales force around the solutions being launched at Neocon 2008, the industry's big trade fair. The solutions? Better office connections, ie. city planning for your office space. If you've ever worked in a cubicle or have gone home with a cup of coffee soaked into your tie more than once, you know what we mean.
Steelcase makes things better, but that doesn't mean we can't laugh at the way things use to be.
Our first project with Steelcase was to create a trilogy of short stories to promote the Airtouch, a sweet height adjustable work surface that raises and drops with the touch of a lever. (ps. if you come to our office, we might let you play with it). The series featured our main character, the General Clerk, as he transitioned from tormented coffee maker to bar-tending office manager to...duh duh duh getting the girl.
